Texas #2 is a 3,000-acre property offering light to heavily timbered undulating terrain where pig, foxes, cats, rabbits and wild dogs can be found and hunted. And a clay thrower is permanently set up for use - clays to be provided by guests.

As goats are part of their framing enterprise for hunters who want to capture live goats, they will pay the same rates they pay locals per kg.

Spotlighting fine and is permitted, but not near the homestead.

There is also a purpose set up range for sighting in rifles.

No dogs allowed. ATV’s and quads only, no two wheelers.

A 4x4 or ATV may be required to get to and around the property in areas.

There is some Telstra phone service in throughout the property.

BYO all provisions for Camping.

No need to bring firewood – the property has available firewood lying around the property for you to collect.

You can sight your firearms and target shoot at your campsite, of course observing all safety precautions.

No trophy charges.

The property is undulating to hilly with some steep mountains and rocks to climb for the adventurous. Some open paddocks as well as some light to heavily timbered country with lots of trap rock.

Spring fed dams and gullies, which means plenty of water and wildlife even in dry times. There are running creeks with rain, plus dry creek beds where various game can be found.

Hunt respectfully and please do not shoot at signs. Take all rubbish (and shells) with you to the designated area, obey any fire restrictions especially total fire bans. No hooning.

Property History and Information

This property was a logging outpost for Banshaw Station many years ago and old bottles and campsites can still be stumbled across. The property now runs sheep and goats (hence why goats are limited as they are part of their enterprise).

When the family comes along with hunters, they can relax by the waterhole, picnic, read, fish at the nearby river, meet the poddy calves, goats and lambs, or use the surroundings as inspiration for art or photography. They can bushwalk and enjoy the seclusion. Beautiful Stanthorpe is 90mins away for a bit of culture.

We believe in the balance conservation hunting provides. Farm stock and native endangered species are in a continuous battle for survival against the feral animal plague that is crippeling Australia.
