Bourke 4 is a 29,000 Acre level to undulating offering hunting of pigs, foxes, goats, rabbits, hare and wild dogs. Fishing is available down the road, around 25Kms on the Darling river where you can try your hand at catching Yellwobelly & Cod. The property is around 90Kms from the closest town.
Shooting, bow hunting and spotlighting allowed. Pig dogs are not allowed on the property. A couple of pets like Labradors or Kelpies are allowed.
Motorbikes, quads and buggys welcome.
The dams can also be fished for yabbies, yellowbelly or cod can be found down the road on the Darling River.
The terrain is flat, scrubby mulga country that is easy to walk around and you will need a 4WD to get to and around the property in the wet. Not required in the Dry.
Phone service is very patchy with some reception found near the dams.
Accommodation is camping only and all supplies will need to be brought by hunters and visitors. No need to bring firewood – plenty to collect. There is a toilet (longdrop) and a basic shower.
You can sight your firearms and target shoot away home and roads, of course observing all safety precautions.
The property owner farms Goats, so there is a fee on goats – talk to the property owner BEFORE deciding to hunt goats and ask about the requirements. This is extremely important. Trophy goats and meat goats are charged at the current sale market price. Approx $2.40 per KG live weight. So have the conversation FIRST before hunting their stock.

The terrain is level to scrubby mulga country.
Temperature and Rainfall
Temps are variable and winter you can expect -3 degrees with average of 2 degrees to 18 degrees. Summer expect average 12 – 40 degrees.
Best Time to Book
This property can be booked all year with the best from March to November pending the heat. Generally, the best time to arrive at the property is around 7.00am – 7pm. Owner is happy to chat as you come and go.
Property Owners Rules
Rules on the property are simple – follow and read the conditions for property access book. Common Sense – don't shoot goats without permission first. No pig dogs at all.
No skylarking around with loaded rifles
Leave gates as you find them. No shooting near cattle, towards water tanks, or towards or around housing. Hunt respectfully. Take all rubbish with you to the designated area. Obey any fire restrictions especially total fire bans.
Pet hates of the property owner is leaving rubbish around the place. And you are to NEVER EVER consume alcohol and operate firearms at the same time.

Property History and Information
Property has been in the family for a while, with the current property split from a larger 250,000 station around 10 years ago.
Visitors to the property love the view of Mt Gundabooka and how the country can change so quickly.
Hunter most like the challenges the property brings, along with the class of trophy class game.
The area was settled at the turn of the last century. The country was once open grasslands but is now scrub. There are old goldmines in the area with the darling river around 25Kms to the north.
Tourist Attractions
When the family comes along, they usually like to sit around and take in this amazing property, burn timber heaps (when permitted), visit the National Park or head into Louth or Bourke.
The property has pet Goats, Horses and Sheep that the kids/guests can see and feed.
Additional Supplies
You can support the surrounding communities by buying fuel and additional supplies at: Bourke or Louth which is around 90Kms away. 56Kms away is Fuel and basic supplies.
Bourke is open around 8.30am – 5.30pm and Louth 10am – 5.30pm
Bourke has an IGA supermarket, fuel stations, hospital, bakery, tyre centre, carwash, police station, hardware store etc.
Louth has a pub, pub food and fuel.

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
You enter these properties fully aware of the risks involved and do so at your own risk. IHP, property owners and all related and unrelated parties are not held liable for any claim, accident or injury.
In other words, take responsibility for your own actions, watch what you are doing and ACT LIKE AN ADULT WITH COMMON SENSE.
Risk assessments must be taken for potential hazards whilst using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy's on the property.
Some properties only allow certain types of vehicles. Please check listing carefully. Helmet and protective gear to be worn whenever operating these vehicles.
We recommend the Yassi Course or some form of accredited training be taken prior to using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy’s on the property.
Bikes, buggy’s and Quads/ATV are to be taken onto properties entirely at your own risk.
