Quilpie is a mix of country with approx. 1/3 of the property sweet Bulloo River and Blackwater Creek flooded country.
The property is fed by two major catchments, with a mixture of heavy loam and red loam soils.
The country is made up of a mixture of pebbly Neverfail hills and Mulga country. Timbers include Gidyea, Bloodwood, Box, and Mulga. This is grassed with Buffel, Neverfail, Mulga Mitchell grasses and prolific herbages in season.
WATER SOURCES
Quilpie #1 is very well watered through 25km of poly line, providing water to 14 troughs from the flowing artesian bore in Adavale. Pipe is also connected to an exceptional waterhole as back up. The property is also watered by 1 dam, numerous natural water springs and waterholes throughout the river country on the Bulloo River and Blackwater Creek.

Fenced into 6 main paddocks and 6 holding paddocks with a laneway system interconnecting for ease of access.

For access to any of our properties, all Shooters, Non-shooters and Bow Hunters require current membership of one of the following:

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.
