BOLLON #4 HUNTING PROPERTY

Bollon #4 is a property that comprises 40,000 acres of level, open grasslands.

 

Goats, sheep, and cattle graze in an abundant pasture grassland. The terrain is mostly flat. Pigs, foxes, cats, hares, goats (by negotiation), and rabbits can be found and hunted here.

 

Motorbikes, quads, Polaris, buggies, and spotlighting are allowed but no dogs or other pets are permitted.

 


 

Daily arrival and departure times are flexible and depend entirely on visitors’ requirements.

 

Visitors can choose from accommodation or camping sites which are also available.

 

Firewood is available for collection around the property, free of charge.

 

 

 

Terrain

The terrain is level, open grassland and dams.

 

Temperature and Rainfall

The average temperature ranges from zero degrees Celsius during winter to a hot 40 degrees Celsius in summer.

 

Most rain in Bollon falls in January. Typically, the rain falls for 8.5 days and averages up to 35 millimetres of precipitation. January is also the warmest month and has an average high temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius.

Property Owners Rules

The rules are simple and stated in the property access book. Here is a concise list, highlighting the most important ones:

While staying in the property:

  1. Leave gates as found.
  2. Take all rubbish with you and dispose of it at the designated area.

During campfires:

  1. Be mindful when starting a campfire, or any outdoor fire.
  2. Put out the fire once you’ve finished with it.
  3. Obey the rules if there are fire restrictions, especially total fire bans.

During hunting:

  1. Respect property boundaries.
  2. Do not shoot anywhere near the main house or cottage.
  3. Hunt respectfully.
  4. Do not drink alcohol and hunt at the same time.

When driving:

  1. Stay away from grazing livestock.

Tourist Attractions

There are a number of beautiful places to visit in Bollon. Aside from Nullawokka First Nations Gallery, visitors can also visit the Bollon Heritage Centre, Narkoola National Park, Wallam Creekside Walk, and Thrushton National Park.

 

Additional Supplies

Visitors can drive to the closest town to buy missing and additional supplies. However, the nearby Bollon Cafe has basic supplies and is open from 7am to 6pm. The Bollon hardware shop opens from 8am to 5pm. Sumptuous meals are served in Bollon Pub, which is open from 7am to 5pm.

For access to any of our properties, all Shooters, Non-shooters and Bow Hunters require current membership of one of the following:


All Doggers on dogging approved properties need to be a member of the APDHA

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.

We also recommend current ambulance cover.

You enter these properties fully aware of the risks involved and do so at your own risk.
IHP, property owners and all related and unrelated parties are not held liable for any claim, accident or injury.

In other words, take responsibility for your own actions, watch what you are doing and ACT LIKE AN ADULT WITH COMMON SENSE.

BRINGING BIKES, BUGGY's or QUADS/ATVs?

RIDERS READ BELOW:

Risk assessments must be taken for potential hazards whilst using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy's on the property.

Some properties only allow certain types of vehicles. Please check listing carefully.
Helmet and protective gear to be worn whenever operating these vehicles.

We recommend the Yassi Course or some form of accredited training be taken prior to using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy’s on the property.

 

Bikes, buggy’s and Quads/ATV are to be taken onto properties entirely at your own risk.

No responsibility will be taken. Assess your own insurance for these recreational vehicles.

You release and indemnify IHP and all related parties against any claim of any kind whatsoever.

If in doubt or you do not agree to or understand these terms, do not bring and or ride bikes, buggy's or quad/ATV.
