ROCKHAMPTON 1 HUNTING PROPERTY

Rockhampton #1 is a 8,830 Acre QLD property offering undulating, hilly with open grasslands country. Flowing creeks, semi-dry creeks and dams also cross the property.

Property is a grazing enterprise located on the tropic of Capricorn.

The property enjoys warm wet summers but can also benefit from winter rain. The property consists of gently undulating creek flats to steep hilly volcanic country, all cleared and developed to improve pastures.

Forage cropping of 900 acres, rich black soils. Substantial water supply of bores and numerous permanent and semi permanent water holes and dams. Historically carries approx. 500 breeders.

Pigs, Foxes, Cats, Rabbits & Hare can be found and hunted here.

Quads, bikes and buggys, bows and spotlighting allowed. No dogs. No pets allowed.

No 4WD needed to reach the property with bitumen highway to turnoff. House is 1.5Kms from the highway.

4WD will be needed to get around the property as there are some tricky spots. Most roads are gravel, maintained and graded.

Camping only. No accommodation is available.

No need to bring firewood – the property has available firewood lying around the property for you to collect.

You can sight your firearms and target shoot, of course observing all safety precautions away from stock, houses and main roads.

Terrain

The property offers undulating, hilly with open grasslands country.

Temperature and Rainfall

Property sits on the tropic of Capricorn. Average rainfall is 750mm

Facilities

Camping only. When camping please bring everything you need to camp comfortably.

No supplies are available on the property. You will need food, water, fuel. There is no accommodation.

Property Owners Rules

Rules on the property are simple – follow and read the conditions for property access book. Common Sense – leave gates as found, no shooting at or anywhere near grazing cattle, or on ridgelines, respecting property boundaries, avoid driving on near crops and gardens.

Do not chase young cattle. Hunt respectfully. Take all rubbish with you, obey any fire restrictions especially total fire bans.

Please no shooting, spotlighting around house, shed or yard and drive respectfully in the wet to not ruin the tracks.

Property History and Information

Rockhampton #1 is a lovely property to relax, hunt and just enjoy the peace and quiet around a campfire. Hunters enjoy the peace and quiet of the place away from the hustle and bustle.

Easy access off the highway. Close to Rockhampton

Tourist Attractions

Mt Morgan town was once one of the worlds riches goldmines. Museums, lookouts and tours.

Additional Supplies

Rockhampton has everything you need.

It is recommended visitors come well equipped with everything they need. Bring insect repellent and sunscreen in summer.

PROPERTY ACCESS

For access to any of our properties, all Shooters, Non-shooters and Bow Hunters require current membership of one of the following:

• SSAA
• Shooters Union
• An Approved Hunting Organisation (AHO)

All Doggers on dogging approved properties need to be a member of the APDHA

For each non-hunter attending any of our properties, it is compulsory to be covered by current comprehensive public liability insurance. This is a non-negotiable requirement and forms part of your booking contract. Similar to having travel insurance to go on holidays. This insurance is available by being a current member of an AHO, the SSAA or the Shooters Union before your booking is approved.

We also recommend current ambulance cover.

You enter these properties fully aware of the risks involved and do so at your own risk.

BRINGING BIKES, BUGGY's or QUADS/ATVs?

RIDERS READ BELOW:

Risk assessments must be taken for potential hazards whilst using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy's on the property.

Some properties only allow certain types of vehicles. Please check listing carefully.
Helmet and protective gear to be worn whenever operating these vehicles.

We recommend the Yassi Course or some form of accredited training be taken prior to using any bikes, quads/ATV or buggy’s on the property.

 

Bikes, buggy’s and Quads/ATV are to be taken onto properties entirely at your own risk.

No responsibility will be taken. Assess your own insurance for these recreational vehicles.

You release and indemnify IHP and all related parties against any claim of any kind whatsoever.

If in doubt or you do not agree to or understand these terms, do not bring and or ride bikes, buggy's or quad/ATV.
