Hunters will have the opportunity to hunt Pigs, Goats, Foxes, Rabbits, Hare, Quail, Ducks and go Yabbie Fishing. The property is undulating to hilly with spotlighting, guns and bowhunting all permitted. You don't need a 4wd to get to the property but would need one to get to some parts of the property. The property overall is not steep country. Spring fed dams & gullies are on the property. There are 23 Dams on the property. Great for stalking hunting game.

UHF channel 15 is used on the property with telstra and optus mobile phone reception available on the property.

Weather

Stanthorpe is known to be Queensland’s coldest town, however our property experiences warmer conditions on average. Winter offers crisp sunny days and cold nights with mild to moderate frost. Summer days are warm and beautiful, with little to no humidity. Perfect sunny skies are often followed by crisp, clear nights - perfect for hunting.

Like all high country regions, our weather can be changeable and unpredictable, sometimes offering four seasons in one day. We advise you bring a jacket year round and an extra jumper in Winter!

Average of 600mm or rain per year with the average temperature of 25 Degrees.

Bring the Whole Family

Wives and children can choose to relax and read a book, wander at their leisure through the bush or photograph the abundant wildlife and natural scenery.

Take a kayack for a spin in Coolamunda dam or simply go for a swim. The property s only a 25 minute drive to the dam which is stocked with Yellow Belly, Cod, Silver Perch and Catfish.

Also nearby is a short drive to the Dumaresq River and the Macquarie River, Bonshaw Weir and Beebo Weir.

The township of Stanthorpe offers numerous cafes, restaurants, boutique stores, a regional art gallery and other tourist attractions. Stanthorpe is also located in the heart of the Granite Belt, and is home to some of Australia’s award winning wineries. The below suggested attractions are all within driving distance to the property and can be visited on a day out during your stay or on the way to/ from the property:

Hunters

We believe in the balance conservation hunting provides. Farm stock and native endangered species are in a continuous battle for survival against the feral animal plague that is crippeling Australia.
